Operating across the UK in a number of sectors including: Construction, Residential, Fit Out, Maintenance and Engineering Your new role As part of the design team based out of Cambridge they are looking for a Design Manager to play a key role in shaping the success of their construction projects. This is a pivotal role where you'll drive quality, enhance buildability, and champion innovation throughout the design process.Working closely with technical experts and project teams, you'll ensure that designs align with project briefs while delivering value, ensuring compliance, and supporting commercial and construction objectives. Duties: Develop and manage a realistic design programme and information schedule to support design, procurement, and construction activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals. Promote continuous improvement and innovation across the design process. Lead design reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, while identifying and mitigating risks related to health and safety, buildability, and delivery. Identify opportunities to add value at every stage of the design and construction lifecycle.
