The Help Desk Consultant serves as the first line of support for technology issues across campus, assisting UWM students, faculty and staff.Job DutiesProvide technical support to clients over phone, email, and in-person at the Golda Meir LibraryTroubleshoot a wide range of technical issues and research possible solutionsDocument client interactions within the IT Service Management platformCommunicate with other UWM IT teams and elevate issuesOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsStrong written and verbal English communication skillsWillingness to work directly with clients over phone, email, and in-personStrong computer skills and an interest in learning about technologyAbility to independently research and troubleshoot technical issuesStrong attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAvailability to work at least 15 hours per weekPreferred QualificationsSix months of customer service experienceExperience troubleshooting technical issues in a professional settingPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for long periods and operate a computerAbility to listen and speak clearly over the phone and in-person#J-18808-Ljbffr
