About the Role We are currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic, customer focused individual to join our Rents team as a Rent Account Manager, supporting Nottingham City Council tenants with rent arrears and welfare benefits. In this crucial role in our rents team, you will provide detailed advice, support, and assistance to customers regarding rent arrears and welfare benefits with the aim of maximising rental income. In this role, you will maintain accurate and detailed case records to ensure continuity of casework, enable effective information retrieval, support statistical monitoring, and assist with report preparation. You will also stay up to date with the latest legislative changes and continuously build on your professional knowledge. As a Rent Account Manager, you will possess the drive and commitment to help us offer our tenants an excellent, customer-focused service. About You The ideal candidate will have: 1. To ensure that legal, statutory, and any other relevant provision governing or affecting the service area are strictly observed. 2.To ensure tenancies are sustained by providing support and advice to vulnerable tenants or those identified with a support need and referral to specialist agencies where appropriate. 3.To act as an expert resource for all rent-related matters for the Nottingham City Council Housing Services (NCCHS). 4. To be innovative in developing and implementing rents service improvements locally and be actively contributing to the Rents Service Improvement Plan, ensuring that local and corporate best practices are absorbed into the rents service. 5. Demonstrate and promote excellent standards of customer care in the context of NCCHS Mission, Vision and Values, to uphold the NCCs Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy and objectives and to participate in training activities necessary to your post. 6. To review all accounts, taking action in accordance with current policy and procedures, including debt advice and repayment agreements.
