HGV CLASS 1 SHUNTER DRIVER People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established logistics client based in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire . Shifts: Monday to Sunday Start times between 19:00 07:00 Rates of Pay: Competitive hourly rate Benefits: Excellent hourly rates Consistent, ongoing work Weekly pay Immediate starts available Full training provided Supportive and friendly transport team Career development opportunities Day-to-Day Duties: Shunting 45ft trailers safely to and from allocated bays within the yard Operating a tug unit and Class 1 vehicles in line with company and safety standards Carrying out daily yard checks in compliance with site rules and Health & Safety procedures Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before movement Covering trunking routes when required Completing all necessary paperwork and vehicle checks accurately Adhering to all transport regulations and traffic laws Communicating effectively with transport, warehouse, and yard teams via radio Essential Skills: Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence Minimum of 2 years' experience driving and shunting Class 1 vehicles Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Cards No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes) Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to operate efficiently in a busy yard and warehouse environment Desirable Experience: Previous experience in a logistics or distribution yard Training Provided: Full induction and paid driver assessment prior to starting Ongoing training and support throughout your assignment Apply Today: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver , apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
