Transport Planner Transport Planner required for a leading UK Temperature Controlled Transport company in Devon As an experienced Transport Planner you will have sound geographical knowledge and experience working with UK Transport Sound geographical knowledge UK Transport Planning experience Sunday to Thursday 07:00 - 17:00 Package: 33,500K, Benefits to be discussed at interview The Role: Working as part of a team on the transport desk. Day to day planning and routing of vehicles. Liaising with drivers, informing them of job details and obtaining required information from them. Liaising with customers, taking of orders and dealing with any queries relating to transport. Creating and updating jobs on to the Transport Software system, allocating resources. Completing and managing fleet trailer reconciliation. Working with workshop to ensure trailers are serviced on schedule. Taking control of various customers, dealing with all aspects of their requests. Arranging Sub Contractors to cover ad-hoc work and supplying load manifests. Once trained candidate will be required to take the out of hours on call duty phone as part of a rota system. Passing of weekly driver timesheets. Monitoring of drivers tachographs, dealing with any infringements through education. You will ideally be experienced in the following : UK Transport Road haulage industry.
