We’re hiring a Business Development Manager to join a specialist provider of turnkey energy solutions. This national role offers up to £60,000 depending on experience, where candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel to client sites.Our client is a leading energy transformation partner, delivering cutting-edge solutions in decarbonisation, energy generation, and consumption reduction. They work with large-scale public and private sector organisations across commercial, industrial, leisure, and agricultural sectors - helping them reduce operational costs, improve energy resilience, and accelerate progress toward Net Zero.The RoleThis is a full-spectrum business development role - from identifying and engaging new clients to closing deals and driving revenue. You’ll be supported by a central team of technical, design, procurement, and project delivery experts, allowing you to focus on strategic growth and relationship building.You’ll work closely with senior leadership and the bid team to shape and execute a structured sales plan, targeting high-value opportunities across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across public and private sectorsIdentify key stakeholders and navigate complex decision-making processesDevelop tailored commercial proposals and financial projectionsEngage clients early in the procurement cycle to influence outcomes and support bid successNegotiate and secure multi-site, multi-technology energy projectsMeet quarterly and annual KPIs across lead generation, win-rate, and revenueMaintain accurate CRM records and use data to inform strategic decisionsCollaborate with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions and repeat businessWhat they are looking for3+ years’ experience in the renewable energy sectorProven track record in autonomous business development and salesStrong communication and influencing skills across all levelsAbility to build trust and rapport with clientsWillingness to travel nationally and hold a full UK driving licenceExisting network within relevant sectors (highly desirable)Understanding of electrical principles or relevant technologies (preferred)How to applyTo apply for this role or to find out more information, please send a CV to Danielle Davies at Bid Recruitment / The Management Recruitment Group.If you are seeking a career move but this position is not right for you, please browse the other vacancies on our website.
