Were looking for a Deputy Shelter Manager to join us in a full-time, live-in position, working 42 hours per week. About the Role As the Deputy Shelter Manager, youll play a key role in the daily running and continuous improvement of our busy Exeter shelter. Joining our leadership team, youll work alongside the Shelter Manager, Assistant Managers and the Animal Behaviour Manager, planning animal intake and ensuring every animals journey through the shelter is safe and positive from start to finish. Youll lead and support the wider team, making sure staff and volunteers have what they need to do their jobs well. Youll keep standards high, make confident decisions when needed and provide guidance and reassurance so everyone can work together effectively. As part of the role, youll be required to take part in our out-of-hours cover team, ensuring the shelter runs smoothly around the clock.
