Fabrication Operator Location : Royton, Oldham OL2 6JG Contract type: Permanent Hours: The Fabrication department operates on a shift system between 10am Monday to 8pm Friday. Employees work on annualised hours which are set into a fixed, 7 week rotating 3 shift cycle comprising 6 weeks work and 1 week off Salary: Salary for the role starts at 26,436 for a fixed 10-6 shift during training (approximately 4 weeks). Once allocated to a rotating shift pattern, salary will increase to 26,956. A further salary increase to 27,996 is available once fully trained to operator level About the Job Quantum Profile Systems Ltd is a PVC Extrusion Manufacturing Company. We are looking for Operators to work within our Fabrication department. Job Description & Specific actions/responsibilities: Fabricate aluminium and PVC stair nosings and manufacture product to approved instruction and standards Carry out pre-use checks of all equipment and PPE Safely use relevant machines, equipment and tools in appropriate manner and maintain housekeeping standards Pick and allocate correct raw materials and packaging Safely assemble, pack, and identify profiles to the customer requirement Monitor and capture process data Inspect and check products to agree quality and specification Move and manage finished goods Fault finding and problem solving in all aspects of the fabrication process Involvement in problem solving of complaints Assist process flow teams to achieve the day-to-day business and service targets Cooperate with all internal departments Behaviour required: Demonstrate respect for & value all individuals Maintain positive & proactive approach Approach tasks with a 'Can Do' Attitude Accept personal accountability for actions & results Display curiosity to learning Personally, commit to continuous improvement & change Maintain a solution driven approach to problem solving Qualifications/knowledge/experience - desirable but not essential Fabrication of aluminium profile experience Assembly experience Intrinsic elements of role: High levels of moving and handling, which will include bending and stooping High manual tasks, lifting products below 25kg High levels of manual dexterity High use of manual hand tools Moderate use of safety equipment including PPE Standing for high duration of shift Low use of DSE equipment Working Hours The Fabrication department operates on a shift system between 10am Monday to 8pm Friday.
