Marine Technician City of London 2+ Days in office Responsibilities Production of brokers documentation in accordance with client requirements and broker instruction, under the supervision of the Senior Technician and Broker Support Manager Production of client documentation in accordance with terms agreed with the Underwriter under the supervision of the Senior Technician and Broker Support Manager; To handle client enquiries by telephone, correspondence or email in a timely fashion; Maintain proper files and records; To obtain a good working knowledge of the companies computer systems; To take responsibility for the day to day management of work loads and the meeting deadlines To comply at all times with the companies' policies and procedures; To understand and implement market initiatives; To provide assistance to other departments when necessary (e.g. Accounts and Claims). In addition, the jobholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Broking Support Manager, as required by the needs of the business. Knowledge and Experience Required Developing knowledge of marine insurance and the London and overseas markets. An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines, as applied to the type of client being dealt with. Skills and Competencies Required Basic knowledge of Marine insurance and the London markets. An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines, as appropriate. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) that are effective and meet business needs.
