If you know your HDMI from your Optical, are comfortable finding your way around a PC/Laptop, looking for a rare chance to join an established team forming part of global operations - and you reside in, or within easy reach of Bristol we want to hear from you We are looking for field technicians; The ideal candidate will have a wide-ranging technical skill set based around installation and fault finding of domestic networking, software and AV equipment. They will also have a clean, current, driving licence and be flexible on working hours and days as the role requires some evening and weekend shifts. We provide a non liveried company car, tools and laptop etc. The technician will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data from the metering equipment and software in panel homes and will be covering a wide area along the Hertfordshire/Cambridge/ Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire/Northampton regions. Required profile: We also welcome candidates with experience in commercial video conferencing and multiroom installation. Strong technical ability to install and service non-invasive TV metering equipment without opening devices. Thorough understanding of A/V routing (SCART, RGB, Composite, HDMI) in domestic settings. Knowledge of home networking , broadband, routers, and configuration of Windows PCs, Apple Macs, iOS, and Android devices. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and bespoke software installation . Ability to work independently and to a high standard , including scheduling appointments with panel members. Must represent Kantar professionally , maintaining courtesy and punctuality in all household interactions. Demonstrable experience in domestic A/V installation and a sound understanding of TVs and peripheral technology; qualifications in electronics, audio, or video are advantageous. Advanced keyboard and software skills , with a practical understanding of hardware setup. Full UK driving licence (max 6 points); prepared for UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays. Must pass a C.R.B. check . Install, service, and remove TV metering equipment and related software in panel homes. Instruct panel members on correct use and care of equipment and software. Store and maintain metering equipment safely when not in use. Troubleshoot and resolve issues , escalating when necessary. Communicate effectively with Kantar management, office staff, and panel members. Submit reports on appointments, mileage, and activity logs. Return faulty equipment promptly and maintain company vehicle in good condition. Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met within specified timeframes.
