We're representing a well-established engineering and construction contractor delivering a wide range of complex and technically challenging projects across the UK. They're now looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and take responsibility for the financial and contractual management of key projects. The Role As Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest commercial standards. Responsibilities will include: Managing cost control, valuations, and project forecasting Administering contracts (JCT / NEC), variations, and final accounts Preparing and managing subcontractor procurement and payments Supporting the preparation of monthly commercial reports and cost reviews Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial compliance Assisting in the mentoring of Assistant Quantity Surveyors where required About You Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within construction or engineering Sound understanding of commercial and contractual principles (NEC / JCT) Experience in fire protection or specialist trades is advantageous but not essential Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Proficient in commercial systems such as CostX, Bluebeam, or Excel Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Quantity Surveyor to progress their career within a forward-thinking and growing contractor, working across a variety of major projects in London and the South East.
