New Vacancy - Lead Underwriter - UK Technology City of London Lloyd's Syndicate I am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are seeking a Lead Underwriter to join their growing London Regional team in the UK. This person will be responsible for growing the UK Technology book by writing and winning new business. Other products include; E&O, Cyber, Management Liability, Property & Casualty and some risks will be written on a combined policy. My client is looking for someone who has a track record of winning business and has strong broker contacts in the UK Technology space. Key Responsibilities Serve as a specialist in the UK Technology sector, supporting both regional (London) and national trading activity. Lead and execute the Technology sector strategy for your region, aligning with broader UK financial goals. Build strong relationships with key brokers to drive new business opportunities and expand product penetration. Act as a referral point for complex new business and renewal opportunities in the Technology sector, regionally and nationally. Own and trade the largest and most complex risks within your sector to deliver profitable growth. Support and help deliver pipeline opportunities by collaborating with regional teams and broker owners. Represent the sector in broker engagement activities such as QBRs and strategy meetings - focused on high-value opportunities. Coach and mentor underwriters to build sector-specific knowledge and capability. Collaborate with technical underwriting teams to enhance product development, wordings, appetite, and propositions for the Technology sector. Raise the sector's profile by attending key industry events (e.g., Broker Summit, BIBA, and sector workshops) as a subject matter expert. Contribute to the creation of sector marketing collateral in partnership with the marketing team. Share best practices and insights across the wider specialist sector team to foster collaboration and consistency. TPBN1_UKTJ
