JM Workforce Services are currently working with a Children's Social Care provider, with an experienced and respected Directorship and RI already in place based in Swadlincote, to recruit a Quality and Development Manager . You will be leading on the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance systems, service improvement plans, and staff development initiatives across the childrens residential service. The role ensures the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and outcomes for children and young people in line with regulatory frameworks (Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards). Compensation and Benefits: 40,000 ( dependent on experience) Private Healthcare Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the residential childrens home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained. Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support. Maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures. Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently. Promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary. Requirements: Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a residential childrens home setting. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) Sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
