HGV Class 1 Driver - Lates People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in ASTON, WEST MIDLANDS . This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. Shift: Monday - Friday: start times between: 14:00 - 20:30 Rates of Pay: 18.00 per hour Monday to Friday 18.28 per hour Saturday 19.04 per hour Sunday Benefits: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Training provided Immediate starts Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to: RDC or customer deliveries which may include handballing (working on curtain-side or tail lift vehicles) Operating and driving various Category CE vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as needed Completing any paperwork Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles Previous experience with multi drop deliveries Training: Driver's Assessment must be completed Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Contact: This client values its workers and provides an excellent working environment If you are looking for high-paying, reliable work, click below to apply today or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process TPBN1_UKTJ
