Job Details Location: Leicester, LE4 Pay rate: 15.93 per hour- 17.00ph- weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Schedule: Monday to Friday | 3 pm-11:45 pm | 45 minute unpaid break Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing, Temp to Perm About the Role Gr8 Connect is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for evening/afternoon shift to work with our client, a leading waste management company at Leicester depot (LE4 area). This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established team and gain long-term, ongoing work. Permanent positions may become available after a qualifying period. Responsibilities Collect waste from various customer sites and transport it back to base Operate vehicles with walking floors in the waste industry Ensure vehicle upkeep, including cleaning trailers before each pickup Person Specification UK HGV Class 1 driving licence (minimum 6 months) Digital tachograph card & CPC card Minimum 2 years' experience as an HGV driver Ability to provide a professional waste management service to trade customers Excellent, professional work ethic Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage Experience with walking floor vehicles is preferable but not essential Why Join Us?
