ONE HEALTH IN ACTIONOur independent, progressive, single-centre veterinary practice is growing fast in every direction- client list, the range of species we see, and the services we offer. We need that special person who can lead our nursing team through these changes, ensuring that protocols are developed and adapted, and patient care is enhanced, while always collaborating with (and caring for) your colleagues, whether they are fellow nurses, VCAs, client-care or vets. It''s as much about people skills as it is about our patients, so we are seeking a ''lead'' nurse who is not afraid to get ''hands on'' and nurture the leadership in others, rather than an ''head'' nurse sitting in an office. As part of our SLT, this is a role with responsibility and requiring valuable skills, with a salary to match:Lead VN- full time (40 hrs/wk + rota share of Sat a.m.)- 37-39K/annum depending on experience. We believe that independence is more than just a word- it gives us complete freedom to use our imaginations, to stretch our ambitions, and make a real difference to our patients, and the world around us. Our ground-breaking and award-winning pet health plans are a UK first, and demonstrate how we are committed to making a genuinely positive impact to pets and our environment, funding habitat regeneration, promoting biodiversity... we could achieve so much more with your help. You will be joining our experienced and friendly team of 4 nurses, 3 vets, 2 VCAs and 1 client-care, in purpose-designed premises, with great equipment including dental radiography, and fixed endoscopy on the way. Part of the expansion includes additional consultation rooms, one of which is ear-marked to develop the range of nurse-led services we offer to our clients. So, a great opportunity to maximise the potential of our team, and follow your own interests. As part of our commitment to providing the best care, we are an ISFM Silver ''Cat Friendly Practice'' (our separate cat and dog wards and waiting rooms are loved by our clients) and also an RWAF Silver ''Rabbit Friendly Practice''. Visiting orthopaedic specialists and an increasing exotic caseload add additional variety and we work with Hart Wildlife Rescue to get the best outcomes for our wild patients.Out-of-hours emergencies are seen by a dedicated provider nearby and in-patients are also transferred to them when appropriate, for continuous care. Saturday morning clinics are shared on a rota.In return for your dedication there is a competitive salary, great team environment, generously funded CPD, ''fully comp'' private medical insurance and a top-notch pension, as well as regular nights out with your lovely colleagues. There are even free tickets to the movies with practice membership of our local independent cinema.Liphook itself is a vibrant place, with great pubs and restaurants. The station to catch a train to London or Portsmouth is just yards away and the beautiful South Downs National Park is on your doorstep.
