Emissions Technician - PeterboroughInitial 12 Month Contract (high chance of being extended)Competitive Hourly Rate - up to £30 p/h Umbrella OR up to £22.30 p/h PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contribution plus potential shift rateWorking Hours Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm & Fri 8am-3:30pm - please note that there is a high chance of this role changing to shift after 12 months (there will be a 22% shift uplift)This Emissions Technician role will support the Emissions Measurement Services department in the dedicated state of the art Europe Research & Development Centre in Peterborough.The candidate needs the knowledge, base skills, and experience to be able to install, service, calibrate and maintain the fleet of emissions measurement equipment, this will include assisting engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future emissions measurement technologies and processes in a laboratory environment.Operating in a fast paced and professional technical environment, this role will provide an interesting variety of responsibilities and activities, with the opportunity to work both as part of a wider team and independently utilising initiative.Job Responsibilities & Duties of the Emissions TechnicianPractical, hands-on responsibility for evaluating and deploying measurement equipmentOperating measurement equipment and conducting diagnostic investigationsTotal Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and calibration of emissions measurement equipmentModifications to facility plant/test rigs and equipmentEvaluating products and processes in the emissions measurement disciplineProvide first line breakdown coverSkills and Experience required of the Emissions TechnicianTechnical Apprenticeship trained with electro-mechanical bias or equivalent extensive industry experienceThe capacity for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with peersEmphasis on initiative and self-starting tasksExperienced maintainer of measurement equipment / instrumentationUnderstanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and permanent corrective actionsPractical experience and theoretical knowledge of gaseous measurement and/or particulate measurementTo apply, please submit a copy of your up to date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience.
