We curate and manage collections of beautifully crafted homes across prime destinations, combining real estate, hospitality, and design to offer our members a seamless second-home experience.  The RoleWe are seeking a motivated and commercially minded solicitor to join our growing in-house legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer with a real estate background who is keen to work in a dynamic, scaling business that operates in multiple jurisdictions. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the General Counsel and the Real Estate Acquisition team in delivering timely, high-quality commercial legal advice.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, particularly for shared ownership, acquisition, sale, lease, and management of luxury properties.Assist on luxury property transactions across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.Take responsibility for corporate governance and administrative requirements.Deliver work to tight timeframes, utilising strong organisational skills to drive transactions forward.Take ownership of legal matters, working independently while escalating key risks as necessary to senior management.Liaise with external counsel and internal stakeholders, maintaining smooth coordination across teams.Build strong relationships across the business with a range of personalities and skillsets both in the UK and abroad.Contribute to developing scalable legal processes to support August’s growth. About YouQualified lawyer (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction).0–2 years PQE, ideally with residential real estate experience from a law firm or a corporate (exposure to shared ownership or luxury property transactions a real plus).Cross-jurisdictional experience highly desirable.Previous in-house experience/secondment preferred.Commercially minded, pragmatic, and able to balance risk with business objectives.Excellent organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.A people person - sociable, approachable, and able to connect easily across teams and cultures.Thrives in a fast-paced, scaling, design-led environment.An interest in European real estate and beautiful homes.August ValuesResourcefulness: We take personal ownership in problem-solving and believe it is our responsibility to establish our place on the team and to contribute to the company's success.Urgency: Our industry is fast-paced, we aim to act promptly and with the intention to make things happen efficiently and effectively to stay ahead of the competition.An ownership mindset: We are accountable for ourselves, our colleagues, our clients and our company.
