We are looking for a Chemical Regulatory Science professional with deep understanding and knowledge of EEA REACH and similar Global REACH schemes. This role is remotely based in the UK with infrequent travel to UK and EU sites.Join the product stewardship department of a speciality chemical business:Be their Global REACH Subject Matter Expert. Ideally with a strong scientific pedigree, you will have deep REACH expertise and be able to lead, advise, plan and develop strategy for the compliance of fascinating and highly complex chemical substances on a global scale. Your duties will include:Supporting EMEA and global product stewardship programmesRepresentation in Industry Consortia and Trade AssociationsResponsibility for compliance with EEA REACH and similar emerging global regulationsManagement and coordination of technical experts who will conduct the practical regulatory work Management of OR complianceAnalysis of impacts of regulatory changesDevelop strategy for implementing new regulations (eg Ukraine REACH, Israel REACH etc)Managing with non-routine complex customer regulatory enquiries. You are likely to have:Proven track record in Product Stewardship with a chemical manufacturing businessBe able to work with different departments including sales, marketing, R&D, etcPossess deep expertise in EEA REACH and ideally similar global schemes eg K-REACH, Turkey KKDIK, China REACH, UK REACH etcBe higher degree qualified in chemistry, biology, material or particle science or similarHave strong scientific understandingYou may have had experience with ECHA/EU CommissionExperience working instrumentally with industry associations, consortia and technical committees.
