Managing Quantity Surveyor We have an excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a renowned main contractor in Reading. The business has a reputation for delivering landmark schemes across the UK with projects across the commercial, student accommodation, defence and education sectors valuing anywhere from £50mil - £500mil+. They are currently undertaking a huge defence scheme and are now looking to expand the commercial team. About the role of Managing Quantity Surveyor: As Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing a section of works valuing circa £200mil. You will be reporting into a Commercial Manager and will be responsible for a team of surveyors. Key Responsibilities as Managing Quantity Surveyor:Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packagesDeal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may ariseLiaise with the clients teams Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development Key Requirements for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role:Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNCHave experience managing projects of sizeable value from pre-construction through to final account Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NECExperience working on MOD projects is beneficial but not essential Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to Reading In return you'll receive: Salary: Up to £90k + Package Company Car / Car Allowance Secure pipeline of work (10+ years) Exciting career progression opportunities into senior management team This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join an established main contractor with a pipeline of work which will keep you local to Reading for the next 10 years.
