Covering Hereford City, this leader will be an accomplished communicator and highly respected Social Work leader, skilled at creating a shared vision and culture across all aspects of practice. You will need to be office based 2 days a week.ResponsibilitiesEnsure a person-centred, strength based and risk appropriate approach permeates through decision making at all levels.Influence system-wide cultural change and work together to achieve a joined-up approach to operational services.Create a clear vision for the future social care workforce that demonstrates innovative, best practice and serves to inspire colleagues in other parts of the service and partner agencies.Lead the development and implementation of strategy in relation to key areas of practice.Form strong and influential relationships across the system to deliver value for money services which manage risk appropriately and improve outcomes. QualificationsYou will be an experienced social work manager or a practitioner with substantial experience and expertise in statutory social work looking to progress into a management role. Your experience will enable you to evidence how you have applied your learning to your practice; and you will have a proven track record of excellent practice.Required SkillsExcellent communication skills.Ability to lead and inspire a team.Strong understanding of social work practices and principles. Preferred SkillsExperience in managing social work teams.Knowledge of current legislation and best practices in social care.
