M&E Quantity Surveyor – M&E ConsultancyLocation: ReadingSalary: £TBC Depending on Experience – Freelance & Permanent/PAYE Both AvailableClientMy Client is a specialist MEP Construction Consultancy based in Central London. They have gained over 60+ years of industry experience between the Directors and work on the behalf of London’s blue chip main contractors, M&E Contractors and Clients. Typically, they cover the Commercial Office market, Government, Stadia and Data Centres. Following a sustained period of growth and a recent move to new offices, they are looking to appoint an M&E Quantity Surveyor based out of some projects in Reading.Role/ResponsibilitiesContribute to the project commercial strategies and take ownership for your own subcontract packages, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the implementation of internal and external tender strategies. Lead as well as assist on projects from a commercial standpoint.Maximise project cashflow by effective commercial management.Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders, whilst working with the Commercial Lead to agree main and subcontract final accounts.Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets for M&E projects.Conducting valuations and final accounts.Collaborating with project teams to ensure commercial success.Managing subcontractor and supplier negotiations.Ideal Background:Strong foundation knowledge in Quantity Surveying with exposure to M&E disciplines.Solid understanding of cost planning, measurement, and valuations.Relevant qualifications/experienceOn OfferCompetitive salary & package add-ons/OR freelance options outside of IR35Excellent range of learning and development activity to support your career progression.
