Senior Disputes LawyerThe OpportunityWe are partnering with a fast-growing specialist law firm in the South East to recruit a Disputes Lawyer for their high-performing litigation team. With a large book of business, they want a lawyer capable of delivering and leading a small team of legal professionals.This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with strong commercial litigation and disputes experience and an interest in supervision to take the next step in their career. The role blends hands-on casework with team leadership, offering responsibility, progression, and the chance to make a tangible impact in a collaborative environment.You will work on a wide range of matters – from high-volume, straightforward claims through to complex defended disputes progressing to trial – providing real variety and scope to sharpen both technical and strategic skills.The RoleThe Disputes Lawyer will manage their own caseload while also supporting and supervising junior lawyers in the team.Key responsibilities include:Running a varied caseload of commercial litigation and consumer credit disputes from instruction to resolution.Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals, ensuring high standards of drafting, procedure, and client care.Leading on case strategy, including settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and enforcement proceedings.Drafting and reviewing applications such as default judgment, summary judgment, and interim applications.Providing strategic oversight to improve processes and support the delivery of high-quality, efficient outcomes.Candidate ProfileWe are keen to hear from solicitors who are:UK Qualified (5+ PQE)Experienced in litigation and disputes – debt recovery, consumer credit, finance claims, or commercial contracts would be an advantage.Confident in managing a caseload, with strong drafting and negotiation skills.Interested in developing supervisory and leadership experience (formal or informal).Organised, adaptable, and commercially minded, with a collaborative approach.Why Join?Hybrid Working – 2 days office-based / 3 days remote.Bonus Scheme – performance-linked, rewarding both individual and team contributions.Supportive Culture – collaborative, open-plan environment with strong peer and leadership support.Apply NowIf you are a disputes lawyer looking for a role that offers responsibility, variety, and clear progression, we would be delighted to hear from you.
