Operations (Methanol Tanker) SupervisorLocation: London Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Travel: Some overseas travel required Vessel Portfolio: 5–10 vessels across regions including the Atlantic, US Gulf & West Coast, Caribbean, North Sea, Baltic, Mediterranean, Red Sea, and Arabian Gulf.About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of Methanol and Product/Dirty Tankers. This dynamic role involves direct liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vessel Masters, Charterers, Ship Managers, and Port Authorities. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth vessel operations, compliance with international regulations, and supporting commercial activities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Time Charter In/Out and commercial operations of Methanol Tankers.Supervise junior members of the team. Monitor vessel performance, cargo stowage, voyage instructions, and logs.Liaise with ship Masters, Charterers, and Ship Managers.Update EU/Fuel ETS data and communicate with charterers.Support pre-fixture work and communicate with global offices.Handle charter party documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.Coordinate technical aspects such as bunkering, dry-docking, and marine incidents.Manage financial aspects including charter hire, brokerage, insurance, and ship management fees.Prepare reports and documentation for senior management.Provide operational support for CPP/Spot and DPP vessels, including voyage orders, port charges, and berthing schedules.Calculate and settle demurrage.Collaborate with global teams in Tokyo, Houston, and Singapore.Person SpecificationQualifications & Experience:Minimum 2 years in an operational role within the tanker sector.Familiarity with management systems (electronic or otherwise).Understanding of Bills of Lading and Letters of Indemnity.Sea-going experience is beneficialSkills & Competencies:Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Proactive team player with a flexible approach.Strong IT proficiency.*Please note, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK to be considered for this position* To apply for this position, please call Stuart Hensman on +44 (0)2392 228231 or email your CV ARM Maritime; The Sea To Shore Recruitment Specialists.
