We are problem-solvers, can-doers and solution-drivers working collaboratively with our clients to provide proactive and strategic advice to identify and mitigate risks, deliver efficiencies and, ultimately, achieve deliverable consents and build projects that positively impact people’s lives and the world that we live in.Purpose of the role:Ardent is seeking a land professional (Assistant Surveyor or Surveyor) to work within existing project teams and contribute to the day-to-day activities in relation to utilities land services (water and electricity) for our clients. This role is critical in ensuring cohesive delivery and support for key utilities infrastructure projects. Leveraging your experience, you will provide advice, consider the implications of utilities works and delivery land access and rights for our clients. The role will come with the opportunity to travel to meet with affected parties and working with industry experts on utilities infrastructure projects including CPO’s and DCO’s.What you will be doing:Providing advice to inform land acquisition approach, risk identification & land strategy and advice to clients in a technical capacity.Provide competent and professional support for the assembly of land on projects.Develop & demonstrate presentation skills in order to present complex and technical information to multiple stakeholders.Act as Case Manager independently and lead on negotiations and building trusted relationships.Provide advice to inform land acquisition approach. Experience / skills required:A good listener and the ability to communicate assertively & with empathy if needed. Ability to write a professional letter/email to clients.Able to gather information and data using systematic methods (e.g. reports, surveys, focus groups) to aid decision making.Holds a basic knowledge and understanding of the processes of land assembly methods of compulsory process.
