Cockshott Peck Lewis are looking to recruit a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years PQE to join the busy team in Southport. In order to be considered for this important role, you will need to have a genuine passion for residential property. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to deliver outstanding client service. This role involves regular contact with clients and estate agents.Working in a busy office with multiple completions each week, youll need to demonstrate a keen attention to detail and be confident working autonomously. Theres a great bunch of colleagues to support you and help you achieve your objectives. We will do everything possible to ensure youll love working here.You will need to provide clients and agents with regular updates, advice, and draft documentation. Primarily, the purpose of the role is to undertake fee earning work to provide profitable contribution from this important service. The role: To effectively handle a busy caseload of a wide range of property transactions including purchases, sales and re-mortgages of freehold and leasehold properties. Advising clients on legal aspects of buying, selling, and leasing property Develop client relationships both from within the residential sector and refer work internally to other legal services. Conducting property searches and reviewing title deeds. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. To satisfy client expectations through timely managing and progressing client calls and queries. Keeping up to date with changes in property law and conveyancing practices. To provide support to the practice as required. To develop the revenue generated from this important service. Identifying new opportunities and reaching out to prospective clients. Skills and experience: A Qualified Lawyer experienced in Residential Conveyancing / Property. Good organisational / Communication and time management skills. Ability to run own caseload. Proven effective management of matters. Good knowledge of UK property law and conveyancing procedures. Providing Support for junior members of the team.
