Building a sustainable tomorrowWe are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join us at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth where we are the preferred contractor to carry out heavy civil engineering construction in and around the Royal Navy dockyard. Joining the design / engineering team, you will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of Temporary Works on one of the major projects ongoing in the dockyard.Due to the nature of work at Devonport, BPSS/SC level of security clearance is required, only candidates, who are holding NATO member passports and have lived in the UK for more than 3 years can be considered.Your work environmentBAM operates a flexible working policyPeople are at the heart of what we do at Bam. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics.Your missionAs a Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:Co-ordination of Temporary Works between our site teams and designersReview of TW design briefs prepared by site teams to ensure they are suitable for issue to the projects Temporary Works Design teams and management of that submission processManagement of Temporary Works through the full design preparation and checking processes in accordance with appropriate procedures and client requirementsManage Temporary Works designs through their full life-cycle to client approval, implementation, use and dismantlingLiaise with different design houses simultaneouslyEnsure the implementation of these Temporary Works on site is in accordance with the approved and checked design detailsSite inspections and issue of TW PermitsDemonstrate a personal commitment to the projects Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and management system requirements and expectationsDevelop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risksUnderstand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilitiesManage and coordinate Temporary Works SupervisorsComply with commercial processesEnsure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Joint Venture policies and processesProvide practical support and mentoring to less experienced members of the temporary works teamWho are we looking for?Degree qualification in civil engineering or Building equivalent is desirable one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, MEng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher ApprenticeshipMust have CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualificationWe will consider personnel working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE, CIOB,or other appropriate professional bodyIdeally experience of overseeing a broad range of different Temporary Works schemes, preferably as a TWC or TWSExperience in design and/or engineering managementWorking knowledge of Temporary Works management proceduresExperience in the delivery of major infrastructure projectsAwareness of commercial processesExperience of structural steel building buildingsWhats in it for you?Competitive salaryA wide range of family-friendly policiesCompany car/car allowance/travel allowance8 % matched pension contributionsPrivate healthcareLife assurance26 days holiday2 wellbeing days1 volunteering dayPersonal and professional developmentBAM Nuttall is also committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, and to developing policies that support work-life balance.JBRP1_UKTJ
