Grounds Maintenance SupervisorGuildford28,000 per annumThis is a hands-on role, supervising the daily activities of an outdoor, grounds maintenance workforce of eight.Responsbilities:Allocating tasks to the team on a daily basisEnsuring quality standards and performance targets are monitoredEnsuring the team works efficiently and service improvements are identified and implementedEnsuring property and equipment are cleaned and maintainedEnsuring team members adhere to safe systems of work and all machinery and equipment are used in accordance with health and safety guidanceEnsuring contract documentation is completed comprehensively and kept up to dateGrass and hedge cutting in public open spacesMaintenance of flower displays and bedding to include watering and weedingSupervise the operation of greenhouses, potting up plants and preparing hanging basketsOversee the installations of hanging baskets, planters and displaysDrive vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance workAssist with the overseeing of funerals, to include the marking of graves and being present at intermentsMake recommendations regarding improved work systems, labour and machinery utilisationIn extreme weather to assist in clearing and gritting footpathsEnsure the health and safety policy is adhered to and followedJBRP1_UKTJ
