OverviewAs a Lead Senior Support Worker, you'll be pivotal in supporting individuals with daily living, safeguarding their wellbeing, and helping them achieve their aspirations. You'll also take on senior responsibilities, including leading teams, supervising staff, and ensuring quality support services. United Response is seeking a full-time Lead Senior Support Worker with experience in complex needs for our service in Leeds. ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored, person-centred support to individuals based on their unique needs and goals. Support daily activities like budgeting, cooking, personal care (if required), and community engagement. Build and maintain positive relationships with family, friends, and other professionals. Lead handovers, supervise staff, and assist with scheduling and rota management. Model best practices and help induct and mentor team members. Safeguard vulnerable adults, report concerns, and follow safeguarding procedures. Maintain accurate records, including financial documentation and support plans. QualificationsFull UK driving licence and ability to drive manual vehicles. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts; flexibility is essential. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care; NVQ Level 5 preferred. Previous experience in a senior support role. Experience in social care or supporting individuals; supervisory experience and ability to motivate a team. NVQ Level 3 in Care (or willingness to achieve it). Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic IT and numerical skills. Passion for promoting dignity, respect, and independence. A commitment to ongoing training and development.
