We are looking for a Planning Manager who can lead the planning function for one of the largest OHL upgrade projects in the UK. This role is pivotal in ensuring the strategic planning and scheduling of the project.This role requires flexibility to work in demanding environments and the ability to spend extended periods away from home in support of project delivery.On offer for you:Salary up to £80kCompany vehicleTravel and subsistence allowancesLeading benefits packageExcellent career development opportunities in a business who are passionate about professional growthWhat you’ll bring:Proven success in planning and managing complex construction projectsStrong leadership and team development skillsExpertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Time Location software, and MS OfficeIn-depth knowledge of construction management, change control, and risk management (TRA, QSRA)Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsSolid financial awareness, including cost estimation and Earned Value ManagementThe day to day of your role involves:Lead Strategic Planning and Scheduling, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and optimising project timelines and resource allocation.Drive Best Practices, implement and promote best planning practices across the construction portfolio.Guide and support the planning team, focusing on development and successful project delivery.Identify planning scope, constraints, and factors affecting the programme.Ensure adoption of the most efficient design, procurement, and construction strategy for successful delivery of works.Oversee development of key deliverables, including programmes, reports, and presentations.Ensure alignment with commercial and planning procedures and contribute to project success.Evaluate and advise on project critical paths, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.Please get in touch with an up to date CV to hear more.
