We believe in our people and are committed to delivering outstanding service across all our branches.Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for aGroup Health and Safety Directorto bebased at our Head Office in Newry , with regular travel across NI, England, and the Isle of Man.We are looking for a strategic leader to drive our health, safety, and sustainability agenda across multiple sites and regions. Your key responsibilities as a Group Health and Safety Director will include: Leading the development and implementation of Group-wide health & safety policies and procedures.Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.Championing a culture of safety and wellbeing across all levels of the business.Designing and delivering sustainability initiatives including carbon reduction, waste minimisation, and ESG performance.Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to embed safe and sustainable practices.The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: 10+ years’ experience in health & safety leadership across multi-site operations.NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications.Strong knowledge of international and local safety legislation.Proven ability to implement and manage health and safety systems across complex operational environments.Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.Experience in the builders merchanting or construction materials sector (highly desirable).Willingness to travel internationally as required.What we offer: Competitive salary and benefits packageStaff DiscountsCycle to Work SchemeCompany CarContributory Pension Scheme30 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)Training & Development Programs to support your career growthClosing date for the receipt of completed applications is Wednesday 17th September 2025 Job Description#J-18808-Ljbffr
