Were looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Craftsperson to join our Maintenance team and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our Cement Plant operation based in Dunbar, East Lothian.Main ResponsibilitiesWithin the role of Electrical Craftsperson you will act as a key member of the Maintenance team, focusing on electrical and process control equipment across the plant.The day to day responsibilities of the role include:Prioritising safety at all times, demonstrating a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standardsApplying existing knowledge or quickly develop expertise in a wide range of equipment, including instrumentation, PLCs, DCS/SCADA systems, LV & HV motors, switchgear, control gear, AC & DC systems, variable speed drives, and specialised control panelsPerforming mechanical maintenance tasks such as bearing replacement and device alignmentBe flexible with working hours, including potential weekend or split day shiftsThe Ideal CandidateExperience as a trained electrical craftsperson/process control18th edition certifiedMulti-skilled engineering maintenance experiencePLC experienceStrong team worker with the ability to work independentlyGood communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work flexiblyHere at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and its important that our people come from a variety of different backgroundsAt Tarmac, who you are matters.
