Youll be working in a collaborative, agile, and friendly studio environmentsupported by chartered engineers and building physics specialistswhere your ideas and leadership can make a tangible impact.This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant who wants to shape sustainable design from concept through to post-occupancy, with a team that values technical rigour and creativity in equal measure.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of sustainability and energy strategies for planning, compliance, and design development stagesUse advanced dynamic simulation modelling tools (e.g., IES VE, TAS, DesignBuilder) to assess thermal comfort, overheating (TM52/TM59), daylight, ventilation, and energy performanceDevelop high-quality Sustainability and Energy Statements for planning and regulatory compliance (e.g., Part L, EPCs, SAP/SBEM)Conduct building physics analysis and advise on passive design measuressolar control, insulation, natural ventilation, and thermal mass strategiesOversee renewable energy feasibility studies, including carbon impact and cost-benefit assessmentsSupport and coordinate BREEAM assessments, including evidence gathering, strategy alignment, and client communicationCollaborate closely with internal MEP engineers and external architects, planners, and clients to embed sustainability at the heart of each projectMentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and methodologiesRequired Skills and ExperienceStrong technical expertise in sustainability and building physics within a consultancy environmentProficiency in thermal modelling software (e.g., IES VE, TAS, DesignBuilder) and knowledge of TM52, TM59, CIBSE Guides, Part L, SAP/SBEMExperience writing energy and sustainability strategies for planning and building controlUnderstanding of UK Building Regulations, carbon policy, and sustainable building certification frameworksExcellent communication and report-writing skillsCollaborative mindset and ability to engage with design teams and clientsDesirable SkillsLow Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA) accreditationBREEAM AP or BREEAM AssessorExperience delivering net zero carbon and whole-life carbon assessmentsKnowledge of NABERS UK, WELL, or LEED would be beneficialWhats on OfferCompetitive salary, tailored to experienceOpportunities for further accreditation and CPDFlexible working and supportive team environmentHigh-quality, design-led project portfolio across the UKA chance to lead sustainable change in a well-respected and growing consultancyIf you think this job could be for you or someone you know, please get in touch today.
