It is an entrepreneurial business, promoting openness and free thinking and offering true autonomy within the role.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.Following a move to a new factory and due to expansion and ambition for further growth, they now seek to appoint a new role of Material Flow Manager to oversee the movement of materials within the production system, ensuring efficient operations and inventory management. You will be responsible for the coordination of workflow, managing inventory levels and optimising processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily OperationsCoordinate daily workflow for logistics team/sOversee logistics, receiving (& inspection), inventory management and storageEnsure production lines have necessary materials for uninterrupted assemblyInventory ManagementManage inventory levels and accuracy across all locations (and departments)Conduct regular inventory assessments and audits, developing and progressing the department in keeping with the lean methodologies of the businessCollaborate with other departments to optimise space 3D utilisationTeam LeadershipLead, train, and motivate staffConduct daily/weekly meetings to discuss workflow, challenges, and improvementsFoster a high-quality production support team through effective leadershipThe successful candidate will be an organised, detail orientated supply chain professional, proficient in inventory management systems and MS Office, as well as being familiar with ERP systems (e.g. EFACS / SAP). Primarily a management/leadership function, you should be willing and capable of being "hands on" when appropriate, able to work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of your department, while having excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.You will have a clear vision for best practice, a focus on making sustainable change in the pursuit of efficiency, quality and safety.
