Job Descriptionnn n n Job Introductionn Turning Point have a new exciting opportunity for a Training and Workforce Development Lead to support the Rochdale and Oldham Recovery Service.We are a fully integrated community drug and alcohol treatment service, and we are looking for someone to lead on the support, training and induction of new staff as well as the co-ordination of our internal CPD and Training programme for clinical and non-clinical staff. We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic team player.The role will not involve line managing staff but is pitched at Team Leader level and there is an obvious leadership element to the role given the need to welcome and support new staff into our system and ensure they have the requisite training and skills in order to do their job effectively.nAs a Training and Workforce Development Lead we offer a starting salary 32,760 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to 38,326 (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).nYou will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.nWhether you are looking to progress into a management and leadership role at Turning point we will support and encourage you on your career journey.nMain Responsibilities:nnContribute to regular National Training and Practice Lead ForumsnMaintain effective links with Learning and Organisational Development Team (L&OD)nMaintain working links with relevant departments including Implementation & Development, Quality, etcnSupport relevant review and audit activitiesnSupport relevant Quality and Service Development/Improvement activitiesnMonitor mandatory training levels and highlighting any areas of concern to senior managementnReview external training opportunities and cascade/direct to staff appropriately, maintaining communication with central L&ODnRespond appropriately to local training needs, liaising with Central colleagues and in conjunction with L&DnSupport the ongoing evaluation of training interventions using the learning cycle with L&ODnIdentify areas for regional or national learning and share at National Forum with wider colleaguesnUse, feedback and contribute content to the centralised L&OD Training library on TeamsnIdentify practice issues through auditnReview practice through evaluation of training interventionsnSupport the local Management team in inducting new colleagues and act as a point of contact for training and developmentnSupport the training and induction of new staff and provide coaching, support and monitoring throughout their 6-month probationary periodnOversee the induction training plan and co-ordinate with the facilitators to ensure that this is in place rotationally to support new staffnWork with the safeguarding lead to ensure that all staff competency is completed during their probationary periodnSupport probationary review process regarding training needsnSupport the competency training review and sign off (excluding safeguarding)as requirednSupport colleagues with CPDnSupport the application and embedding of learning into practicenProvide coaching and feedback as requirednDevelop and support activities and initiatives to support the wellbeing of the workforcenMonitor, identify and address any training needs at a local level in conjunction with L&ODnAct as a point for guidance and support for Trainee colleagues from start date through to graduationnLiaising with Team Leaders to identify issues with practicenEnsure all learning records are kept up to date on Explore within a timely mannernnThe Ideal CandidatennGood written & verbal communication skillsnTraining QualificationnKnowledge of IT / digital systemsnUnderstanding of the Health & Social Care sectornKnowledge, skills and experience of design and delivery of effective learning opportunitiesnKnowledge, skills and experience relating to coaching and mentoringnnAs a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.nWe run all of our services on a not-for-profit basis; instead, we invest every penny back into our services and people.We never stop believing in change for the better, and we work constantly to improve the lives of the people we support.nWhat Benefits Will I Receive?nWe know reward looks different to each person and so whether its ways to make your money go further, a culture supporting recognition and celebration, or opportunities to boost your career we want to support you in every way we can with our total reward package that includes:nn25 days paid holiday a year + Bank Holidays, increasing with each year of service up to 27 days + Bank Holidays.
