Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us.nWhere will I be working?nWeare providing support for adults with learning disabilities and physicaldisabilities.n2 Sherwood is situated about 4 miles from Wakefield Centre, this takes around 20 minutes by bus. Sherwood is a purpose built 4 bedroom bungalow where we support 2 ladies and 1 gent. The clients are aged between 54yrs to 70yrs. All clients have mixed abilities and mobility issues, who all enjoy the local amenities of Wakefield but equally enjoy broadening their horizon further afield.nThe people we support at are looking for an outgoing lady that can drive and is available to work all shifts days, nights and some weekends to join a happy friendly outgoing team.nYou will be required to provide aperson-centred approach in all aspects of the clients lives, including managing their home, some personal care, accessing their local community facilities, and maintaining contact with other important people in their lives. We tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible. You maybe asked to attend GP appointments and hospital appointments. A full UK driving license is preferable.nWe use a digital social care record system, to support daily recording, which will make your day-to-day tasks easier and allows you to spend more time with the People We Support.nShift PatternsnThis is a 24 hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts from 7:00am to 2:00/3:00pm and 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00pm, sleep ins or waking nights, some weekends.nPlease note that the shifts may vary.n n n n Role Responsibilityn What will I be doing?nThis is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:nnpromoting the independence of people we supportnsupporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holidaynarranging activities in the home and in the local communityndeveloping residents'' life skills and personal interestsnhelping residents stay safe and healthynassisting with personal care needsnmanual handlingnsupporting people with medicationnensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements.nn n n n The Ideal Candidaten What skills and qualities do I need to have?nWhilst knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs would be beneficial, it isn''t essential.
