Job Title

We are currently working in partnership with a Charity based in the Black Country, who are recruiting for an Interim Head of Finance on a temporary three-month contract , with a high likelihood of being extended. The daily rate of pay is negotiable c.400-500 via an Umbrella company. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can develop and implement financial strategies, and someone who can lead the finance function through planning, managing and reporting. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Overseeing all financial transactions, accounting matters and cash flow management Preparing and presenting accurate and timely financial reports, including annual accounts and management information, providing narrative Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements and internal policies identifying areas of risk Identifying opportunities to reduce cost and improve financial deficiencies Experience required: Proven experience in public sector finance, ideally within local government and, in particular, childrens services Skills, knowledge and expertise required: A qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
